It’s no secret to my friends, or even my hockey colleagues, that St. Patrick’s Day is one of my favourite times of the year! As a Murphy, as someone from Newfoundland, and as a guy who played hockey in the now defunct Irish Hockey League for Dublin, March is a great month that brings back loads of good memories!
This year I will celebrate St. Paddy’s here in the UK, but I will be on my good friend and colleague’s radio show via the phone live from Montreal. You can check out Jimmy Murphy and his show Murphy’s Hockey Law, and of course raise a Guinness to both Jimmy and I, and all hockey fans the world over, as he broadcasts from McLean’s Pub!
Here’s a little something from the NHL to get you into the spirit. Be safe, and enjoy the parades, pubs, and all the craic from wherever you’re wearing green and watching hockey this weekend!
Slainte!
